Lisa JW Sedlak, MS
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Lisa is licensed in the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota as a Marriage and Family Therapist.  Her educational background includes earning a bachelors degree in 1995, with a major in Human Development and Family Studies.  After two years of working with families of children with special needs, Lisa returned to earn a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from UW-Stout.

Since earning a masters degree in 1999, Lisa focused on in-home family therapy for a number of years in Minnesota then Wisconsin.  Lisa has been an Ad Hoc Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Stout since 2001.  She teaches a course on Family Stress, Coping and Adaptation within the Human Development and Family Studies Department.  Students taking the course are a mixture of undergraduate and graduate students from varying degree majors.

In 2003, Lisa began private practice out of the Osceola Medical Center.  She continued working full time doing in-home work while launching her private practice.  As the practice grew, Lisa left in-home work to focus solely on outpatient therapy.  The practice has since expanded to include space in the Somerset, WI  area one day per week.
